Lashes on Lashes

Modern 60’s beauty is a must to try in 2015.  Doll-like extra-long false lashes are the key to this trending look.  Don’t be afraid to fake it.  If you haven't tried false lashes before, they can be extremely fun - adding an energizing, confidence-inducing, girl-power feeling to a fun night on the town - whether it's a date night, friend night, or special event.

To make your eyes pop, add lashes to the upper lash line.  But, if you really want to go all out and capture this look - you have to go double, adding a lash to both the upper and lower lash line of the eye.  For a single upper lash, use Sephora Collection False Eye Lash in Mink.  For the double doll look, use Sephora Collection False Eye Lash in Flair for the top and Make Up For Ever Eyelashes Strip in Type 51 Kathryn-lower lash for the bottom.

Look to Gucci's Fall/Winter 2014 Runway makeup for inspiration.  Before applying the falsies, create an over-all flawless skin using Make Up For Ever, Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation and Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Eyes.

For the eye, use a professional curler, thickening mascara, and liquid liner to draw a very thin cat line above and below the lid.  Add the Sephora falsies above and below and finish the 60’s doll-look with a nude lip.

Luminous Blue

Sea blues are not just for the summer months.  Line the inner rim and lash line with aquatic blues to illuminate the eyes during the dull winter months.  Taking cues from Elie Saab’s runway, blend two Mac Eye Shadows in Steamy and Freshwater.  Brush the color around the perimeter of the lash line.  To create an ombre effect, apply Steamy to the inner eye crease only covering ¼” of the upper and lower lash lines.  Use Freshwater to outline the rest of the eye.

The key to the burst of blue comes with lining the inner rim in neon aqua.  Use Mac Chromagraphic Pencil in Hi-Def Cyan and your eyes will glow bright blue.

Light Eye + Berry Lip

Although this might seem like a lip tip, boldening the lip while intentionally keeping the eye minimal and fresh will highlight, intensify, and make vibrant those beautiful, natural eyes.  Day to evening, this look pops up again and again in runway shows for 2015.  From flaming red to Marsala (Pantone Universe’s official color of the year for 2015) purchase a bright lipstick in any red hue.  Look to Kendall Jenner on Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2015 runway for a deep berry lipstick slightly smudged at the edges for that lush stained affect and Lily Collins for a red-wine stain.

To create the Dolce berry lips apply Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Ultra on the outer parts of the lip.  Add Dolce Matte Lipstick in Dolce Desire on the cupids bow and at the center of the lip.  The dark base with the bright red will create a rich pout.

Make sure to keep your eye simple.  Gently apply, outline, and blend at a minimum to keep a very natural look and simplicity.  Use Dolce & Gabbana's Secret Eyes Lengthening Mascara in Black, Smooth Eye Colour Quad in DesertCrayon Intense in Chocolate, and Intense Liquid Eyeliner in Black to capture this look.

To try Pantone’s 2015 color of the year, apply Marsala to your lip with Sephora + Pantone Universe Pure Marsala Matte Lip Crème.
