(I'm currently the second most read post, and it would be kinda cool to be the first not going to lie
I've never really liked joining writing teams because I was always afraid having to write under deadlines and having to post a required amount of content per week/per month (etc) would make me hate writing/dread something I have always been passionate about. I'm still a little concerned I'll feel this way further down the line when I run out of ideas for weekly posts. I took the GRE test last week and feel very relieved about it
However there's still some more heavy lifting as well as fine tuning to do before I can send out my grad school applications, due from Dec 1-Jan 15 depending on the program.

Sorry for the radio silence from me. I've been apartment hunting in NYC for the last month and still searching. I'm finding that looking for an apartment that suits the needs of a baby is a bit more complex than just looking for an apartment. For example, I have to take into account school districts (If I want to stay longer than 4 years), elevator, washer/dryer. budget (of course), oh and then there are my own hopes and dreams.
Definitely one of my biggest NY challenges yet!
Anyway, I've done a ton of research and made google shoots on NYC school districts, neighborhoods, nurseries, and many other fun new parent items. Let me know if anyones expecting and wants to share their new mom advice or chat about being a NYC mom!
I think we'll be moved by mid-September with wifi, so I hope to have my head on a bit straighter by then. (Oh, and I wake up twice a night to go to the bathroom as an expectant mom and can't fall back asleep.) Every week, we’ll share one piece of advice from Meagan’s experience to make collaboration and success more attainable for interns and everyone else looking to improve their skills! Feel free to comment topics that you would like to receive career etiquette advice on. We’ll start off this new series with tips on time blocking:
Tip: #1 Time-Blocking to Schedule Your Tasks
Schedule weekly recurring days/times to address certain work tasks each week versus creating one long 'to do' list and checking items off when you can.
Schedule critical thinking / writing tasks for beginning of day / beginning of week. Schedule mindless or easy tasks for end of day / end of week.
Examples:
Mondays from 9 - 10 AM - [Write blog post, edit, create social copy, create bSmart stream copy]
Thursdays from 5 - 6 PM - [Practice social + bSmart engagement, create visuals, etc.)
